The business objective of the Ajay-SQM Group is the manufacture, sale and distribution of chemical products to an ever-increasing customer base. Our goal is providing these products to our customers in a manner that produces complete satisfaction with our service and with our products. We are committed to the uncompromising value of the health and safety of our employees and to the care and protection of the environment through sustainable business practices.

To achieve our objective and goal, all of us must strive to produce each product the "right way the first time". We must put forth a continuous effort to reach and exceed conformance to customer product specifications and customer expectations. The search for this “right way” necessarily requires each of us to perform with a quality-conscious attitude and to freely communicate any opinion toward improvement of products we provide and to measure the success of our efforts. Thus, our QHSE Effort is not only to assist our achievement of planned objectives and goals, but also to measure successful implementation of our actions. Toward this aim, management will periodically review the QHSE Effort for success or failure and see that revisions are implemented to maximize achievement of corporate objectives and goals. The results of these reviews will be filed with the Quality and HSE Managers.

To reach these objectives, our QHSE Policy is established to, maintain and foster continuous improvement through Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management programs that will permit work in a systematic way, optimizing the material and human resources, improving productivity and sustainable development, complying with the applicable legal requirements and adhering to voluntary commitments of providing a safe working environment and protecting the environment, maintaining the competitiveness of the business, while meeting or exceed all customer requirements and product specifications.

As part of its policy, the Ajay-SQM Group commits to:

 • To strive for the Efficient Utilization of Energy and Natural Resources, especially Iodine.

 • To have Procedures and Contingency Plans addressing Significant Processes of the Business.

 • To effectively instruct Personnel, developing a Culture of Respect and Care for each other and the Environment.

 • Insure that our Environmental Policy is available to the public.

 • To continuously Revise and Improve the Indicators of our Environmental Goals.

We have developed Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality Management Systems that respond to the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 and the OSHAS 18000 standards. 

 

This policy has been communicated to all existing personnel and is a part of the orientation/training of new employees. All Ajay personnel will review the Management's Statement of Policy yearly.
